At its quarterly national committee meeting this past weekend, the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) called for a landslide in the November 4th elections to defeat John McCain and strengthening the Democratic Party majorities in Congress.  Needed: One Landslide on November 4th

 

The Associated Press reports today that Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan “says presidential candidate Barack Obama represents hope that the United States will change for the better.”

I don’t get to vote for President this primary season. I live in Michigan. The party leaders (both here and in D.C.) couldn’t get their act together, and thus our votes will not be counted.

Fidel Castro has a fascinating op-ed in the state-run Cuban paper Granma, attacking Obama’s recent Cuba speech with a slight note of regret that such a “progressive” candidate has taken such a hard-line stance.

When you see Chavez comparing Israel’s war with Lebanon in the summer of 2006 to “what Hitler did to the Jews,” and calling that military action “a new Holocaust,” you begin to understand why Chavez would be chummy with Ahmadinejad.

Obama may have just hit Barack bottom. Jane Fonda has thown her spandex behind the Senator from Illinois, and the Senator from New York couldn’t be happier.

The Hamas leader Ahmed Yousef did Barack Obama no favor recently when he said: “We like Mr. Obama and we hope that he will win the election.” John McCain jumped on this statement, calling it a “legitimate point of discussion,” and tied it to Obama’s putative softness on Iran, whose ever-charming president last week called Israel a “stinking corpse” and predicted its “annihilation.”
